You turned the lights off while I was still dreaming. Walked out the door without warning. Eyes wide shut left me in no man’s land. Words lost their meaning, shattered and fragile I hoped it was just a dream
Reality struck a cord across my bare back, so I sit swallowing the bitter pill of your absence sinking deep soaked in rivers of my emotions
Shadows, all I see is shadows of us in places once touched by our presence, colour faded in a crowd of memories that once bought so much joy. Carried away by fantasy, unconscious to what would become of us, wondering where next, tainting fading innocence
No where left to go I sit with you…
